Omg. Omg. Omg. I have Harry Potter in my lap. IN MY FREAKIN' LAP!
*Nerd-out, activate!*. This is, rather sadly, the culmination of my
summer. I'm a huge nerd. I got the book at about 12:30. It's 5:00 now,
and I'm on page: 290. Way too close to done for my comfort, but in
other ways, not close enough. I'm guessing I'll finish tonight. I'm not
devouring this one like I did the fifth one. Finished OOTP in about 4
hours. Not even kidding. I was hyped. I can't belive I'm even taking
time to write this... just a quick jotting of my thoughts. (Not all of
them. Expect in depth review latter)

FROM HERE ON, THERE ARE *some* SPOILERS.

Okay, since it just happened: Harry and Ginny? Gross and
Disgusting. Seriously. I hate Ginny. She just rubs me the wrong way,
and doesn't strike me as someone Harry would.. fancy. As well as that.
JK is making Harry entirely too 1 dimensional and obvious in this book.
I feel like he knows exactly what he feels like.. he's not...
uncertian. Worried. Emotional and. well. screwed up in the head, like
anyone would be after his life.

Snape= Eh?

Not enought subplots yet.
but I'm not even halfway through. Its just kind of "Everybody's
scared.... something bout Draco.... I AM LORD MOLDY PANTS....
Everybody's scared again."

Depressed Tonks, is, well Depressing. NOT
ENOUGH REMUS!!! (But I'm always going to say that. Book 6.5 : Harry
Potter and the Lonely Werewolf)

Lets see.... Heromine and Ron= Cute.
Luna and Neville???= cute

I hate Sluggy McSlugerton, but not enough
for him to actually be... hateable. It's weird. It's just like.... I
don't give a small rodent's backside about you dude.

Dumbldore acting
almost like he's dying= Sad. Creepy new hard-ass Snape is just that...
creepy. Will JK develop this "huge role" Snape is supposedly going to
play for the good guys already? She's going to throw it in on the last
5 pages of book Seven (HP and the Somewhat Rushed Conclusion... Rushed?
Crammed? Thrown-Together? Dues ex Machina?) Seriously, I want some
stuff cleared up, not just in book seven. It should all flow together,
seamlessly and nicely.

Half-Blood Prince is either Dumbldore, T.M. Riddle (Moldy Shorts),
Snape???, or possibly random old student. I've decided. Its not anyone
else. No no.

Harry's Insta Puberty is creepy. All of sudden there's this fire in his
loins and nothing is stopping the boy. Gah.

All of the backstory is apparently contained in this one book. Only
problem: Tons of new, but very minor charachters to contend with. (All
the old family members and such.) And really obscure references to
events from 1-5 that you hardly remember, and then you're suddenly
like, OHHH, YEAH.
And, dear god, family trees/happenings. Too. complicated. Five. AM.

Last thing: Don't know who major dies yet. My bets (before even seeing
any of the book) a. Dumbldore (not that likely, but neccessary
sometime) b. Petunia (JK said she has a big role in this book, Lilly's
sister) c. Snape??? (He's supposed to survive....) Amy's bet (that I
don't have covered) d. Hagrid.
In book bets: e. Ginny (probably more wishful thinking on my part
there) f. Katie Bell probably won't make it. g. Neville (She might get
rid of him early.)

Now, remember, I'm half done, and I tend to be really judgemental until
the end, when suddenly "Everything had a secret purpose from the
begining" mode commenses and its all suddenly beautifully meaningful
and purposefully and arranged. For right now, I might get some sleep.
(I've noticed a few things that are suspicious)

Last Words: Ron and Heromine. Pages: 652 (actual text)

One thing I wanna see: Arthur Weasly as like, Minister of Magic. I
think it'll happen. If it does, I so called it. It makes sense if you
really think about it.

I hope Remus (who, if you haven't figured out already, is my favorite)
survives to the seventh book. She's said he will, and he'll play a more
major role in the end (his, or the books? :( ), but I'm afraid that
even if he does survive, he's going to have to die in the seventh book.
He's Harry's tie. Makes me sad.

Gonna go try and sleep/save -some- of it. Will probably end up reading,
or crying.

the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem (An awesome peice of French/Japanese music video
movie. Take Daft Punk, Eurodance geniuses, and use one of their most
sucsessful albums, Discovery, as the entire audio for a retro anime
sci-fi movie by one of the masters. Its fanciful, original, unique,
and, well... just plain amazing. The way the animation and the music
flow together... its like syncing up the Wizard of Oz and Dark Side of
the Moon, except... for real. And with a plot. And amazing retro-anime.
And French techno. Look for all the subtle matchings of downbeats and,
say.. the wind blowing. The fanciful sci-fi storyline matches the
whymsical techno in a storyline that's just flexible enough to mold
beautifully to the music, the main focus. There is no dialouge.
Nothing. Just music. Absolute Nirvana for Daft Punk/Anime fans, a "must
atleast check out" for everyone else)

And scores of underapreciated or unknown movies, telivision serials, made for tv movies, and short films.
Aren't I such the nerd?

Take the list, attempt to delete my commentary (hah! I laugh at j00),
and then bold what you've seen, and add three of your own. Mine, for
the curious among you, are added somewhere in the middle, because this
list was originally in another journal, and then I found it again,
except bigger. Oh, and I added the last one, it was just too perfect.
Number 555(5)? Plus, I got to get the word out about an excellent movie.
................,

You reach over and craress your lovers lips with yours, breathing heavily through pursed lips, darting the surface of his gouregeous, young, pale-pink face with your laboured, hushed exhalations. He can't help but giggle quietly at the tickle, naive and inexperienced. Your hand traces the edge of the bed, the physical structre your only guide in the pitch black. Snakeing up the edge of the sweat-soaked matress, the break is stretching out too long. Soon the moment will be lost. You are currently laying, entwined, a portriat of sheer male perfection, limbs and souls tied together. His head lays across your chest, looking at you with those shining eyes, you have the sudden desire to steal away all their innocence, keep it for yourself, locked away, your own secret treasure.. to cherish as yours and yours alone. His insistance at total darkness irks you, but also makes you smile at his akward, fumbling ways. Your fingers are your eyes, and you decide to see every inch of him, creating a wanton tension in the room that you could easily slice like a cake. His gaping mouth begs to be occupied, and you are all too happy to oblige. The smell of masculinity fills your nostrils as you throw your head back, pleasntly surprised by his.. "natural" talent. Raw instinct guides him, and guides him well, well enough that you are reduced to the gape mouth spectator after only a few moments of sensual play and tease. Pulling away from him, his lips cling, releasing only for the taste of whats promised to come.. Pushing him back onto his back with one hand, you can't help but smirk at the slightly astonished look on his face. You imagine you looked like that once... but you were looking into the wrong eyes. Eyes that didn't change from smirking to caring, comforting. Hard, un-fealing eyes. You realize your expression must have been more that of fear. Reaching down with both arms, you wrap him in your, burrying your face in the boys long blond tresses. He wimpers slighty with anticipation, and you take the opportunity to nibble on his ear, driving him crazy. The physical touch has been enough, you are ensured. He wants this as much as you do. .. (con't later)

((mebe I'll get to go swimmin later. YAY!))

Some (Small) News

Well... a change was in order... and I went through with it. I got my hair cut. I haven't ever really, truly cut my hair. I mean, I've trimmed it and suchforth.. but never a real cut. It's now right above my shoulders. Scary, huh? It freaked me out.. I've never had short hair. I dunno. So far I like it. And I can style it -alot- more. No more just clipping it up, every day. Its got more ... sass. Its alot more me. And my glasses (which I cannot put off any longer -_-;;) actually go with it. Thats all ^_________________^. I'm happy with it. Can't wait to show everyone.

-Cheerio!
Man I love this song... you know I don't belong to you... I belong to me, so don't call me baby. I'll make you wish you were never born... teehee.

Grrrrrr

I was at Target the other day, and guess what I saw. All the new Harry Potter toys. So of course, at first I have this giant fangirl breakdown in the isle, which I think may have scarred a few children for life (its a shame they weren't lightning bolt scars.... except then I might be in jail. For naughty naughty crimes. I hope sizing up a plastic dool just because its supposed to bne to scale isn't a crime.....).

Anyways, then I actually look at them. Umm, kay. I have my dolls and figures from the first two movies in the back of my head, right? And I look from SS, where the Harry doll had a teen skipper's base and really really looked elevn, to the CoS Harry doll, which wasn't much better. I am very imprsesed with the PoA Harry doll, its actually starting to look like Harry might be growing! *shock*.

Now, the plastic figures are where it starts to get scary. Okay, lets start with SS(PS for all you on the other side of the ocean). Harry figure... sucked. Looked not a thing like Daniel, or Harry for that matter. And the arms, cloak, body, and legs were all weird. Needless to say, I only bought basic Harry. Now, as for CoS, the only ones I could find were just new editions of the same SS ones, so I actually .didn't.buy.any. *major shock*. Now, onto the PoA 'large' *wink* plastic figures. Sosososososososososososo scary. Harry looks 20, I swear. I glanced over the shelf the first time and I was like, "WTF??? James???". He has the build of a 20 year old pro football player, and the face to match. I mean, Daniel is a pretty thin *read:submisive -snorrfle-* guy. Or at least lean. DEFINANTLY .not. a linebacker. No no.

And don't get me started on Remus. Peh peh peh peh peh. So dissapointed. They put the frikin Hitler mustauche on the tiny tiny plastic figure. The like, one inch tall one. EWWWY. No no no. David Thewlis isn't that bad a choice, thats not what I'm upset about. But please, please, please, SHAVE HIM!!! Thank you. And I'm sorry, but the werewolf looks terrible. I just don't like it. The CG isn't up to par, and the plastic figure just looks bad. I don't know why, but I'm upset. But I'm just going to ignore it, and apreciate the film for what it is. (Hopefully) Good, and based off a great book. (Thirds my fave!).

Oh, an hi, great, great quote by A.C. in entertainment weekly. I love love love the idea of Daniel (or Tom) taking this direction and "running" with it. Eheheheheheheheh. Grr.. can't find quote, but the gist of it was "Yeah, it gets tedious... after so many blue screens sometimes you just want to shout "Somebody, give me a sex scene. Anybody! Just someone, get naked!"

More in a sec!

Peh, rather crappy day today, but oh well. I'm just glad school is almost over, and A-Kon is almost here.. I hope the hotel calls soon *glances shiftily at phone*. Hey, this is a random announcement, but my Harry Potter RP with someone else just died, so I was wondering if anyone out there needs someone to RP with... I'm not genius at it, but it amuses me. Alot. It could be like a circle with several people or anything. I want some sugar badly.

P.S. In other news, my dog recently passed away.
I just recently re-found my first Slash! It was Heero x Duo, and I stumbled upon the (very distinctive) site... thats so great! It amuses me. Buwahahahaha. I should totally become slash_wombat, for *offical-ness*. Im trying to write but damn, I suck... for some reason right this second I can churn out random sex scenes, but no real stories.. oh well. I must get rid of this block somehow. Ordered HP ties last night, so thats all wo0t-ness. Just have to finish the frikin skirts. Might get to meet Noah at the museum still, so thats all good. I apparently got elcted for a debate posistion that I wasn't even running for, so thats great. I have even the slightest chance of getting drama officer, so thats always good. I have to wait till Sat. to find out, so that sucks, and my keyboard is *weirding out* again. *Dropkicks*. -Sigh-, life is life, and thats all.

Icon madness!

I went on a bit of an icon spree, doing my greatest journal icons, and I'm pulling a semi-alnighter, so I started making icons. Here are a few I made with certian people in mind, and they can have them if they want them. Their not the greatest, but their better than the crappyest icon ever (tm) (my first icon). Here goes....
< Slash_Penguin

< Slash_Bunny

< Slash_Moose

Slash_Tiger, Slash_Puppy, yours are coming, I promise, but its three in the morning... mumms making me get off! No... *clings*

Movie Time (Umm, lookit date, what movie do you think?)

Okay, so here's my whole "Van Helsing" post... Spoiler Alert. Major, major spoiler alert... don't read it unless you've seen it, really. I took notes. Also, I gets ta go to da pony races. Fwee.

Okay, so... I obviously saw Van Helsing (from now on most likely refered to as VH) today, and here's my little post abouts it. Wee.

Okay, so it wasn't movie of the year, but who was actually expecting that? But its not quite as bad as the critics are saying. And yes, Hugh Jackman is one fine ass mofo, if I do say so myself. And I do. Alot. To anyone who will listen. And even some who won't. But anyways, back to the movie. For it being a monster movie, and no offense, but thats what it was, it was pretty impressive. The cinematogrophy was pretty good, and the CGI was good in some bits and terrible in others *shrugs*. Also, the sets and costumes were pretty impressive, and the costumes were neat too. The plot overall was nice and simple, easy to follow. Okay, so there wasn't a whole ton of charachter development, but thats what all the sequals are for! The acting was pretty decent, and I personally liked it. Also, I liked the music. You may not, but I did. I liked how they handled most of the monsters, my only real beef was with bits of the vampires... they were kinda off. So, the bottom line is, if you take into account that its supposed to be a campy movie, then its cool. Don't expect the next Friday the 13th yall, thats not what it was supposed to be. And Hugh, well, Hugh was hoooot. And I mean HOOOT. And both dripping wet and almost naked at points. Sometimes both. Oh yeah. ^___^

One other thing is that Van Helsing did one thing that I will respect any movie for doing. (Spolier time, ladies and gentelmen)They killed a main charachter. I LOVE that, because thats how it really happens. In real life the main charachters don't all miraculously survive. I hate hate hate that. Really, I do. I mean, that shows you that they really want to be realistic, and they aren't afraid to sacrifice. And it makes you really care, because, I mean, suddenly these people's lives (fake as they are) are worth something! You could lose them at any time, so its more real. And its just... I dunno, the unexpceted. Cutting edge I suppose. Dunno

Okay, so here are my notes, lol.. and theres one thing you should know. I am slightly obsessed with werewolves. Which is probabaly a big part of why I like this movie. Werewolves were a big thing... that and Hugh. And we all know that I really shouldn't make that lame "big thing" joke I just set up unintendedly... but I'm going to do it anyway. And Hugh, the other "big thing". *Snorfle*

Okay, so, faults first...
- The one moment of "bullettime" took away from it in my personal opinion.
- The dracula brides were just off, and kinda creepy in a bad way...
- There were a few little faults with the monsters, like wolfman during the day, and vampires during the day, and a few other tiny things..
- There is no way all the boobs in that movie would have stayed "contained" during all that, lol.. it was bothering me, okay! I do love how she never snaps her ankles in those boots though.. they were awesome
- The creepyest harpy/vampire bride thing reminded me of Nichole Kidman. God help us all.
- Some of the CGI just looked kinda bad... like moments with lots of running, or when the horses jump the bridge... looked cool but fake.
- There were some moments that were just too campy, like when the dead hand poked out practicaly on cue.. I mean, delay it a bit or something.
- Note to Princess Anna. Red dress and white gloves just does not go. That was so so so bothering me.
- I personally didn't like Igor's charachter... I mean, he had some good lines, but they just wrote him off.. he got better as it went on. Plus, when hes wet he looks like Gollum. I swear, there was one scene, where they just caught his face and it was Gollum. It was.
- I didn't really like Frankenstine's portrayl/charachter, but then again Frankenstine the story never really appealed to me all that much. Atleast they made him the intelligent Frankenstine, I am grateful for that. And Im sorry, but he looked so frinkin funny in that giant block of ice... I couldn't stop laughing, and it was a fairly sad moment.. man, he just looked so stupid, it was hilarious.
- Draculas little servent thingies were really annoying, and I hated them... they took away from it in my opinion.. they honestly remind me of the vacum cleaner from the Telitubbies. Or one of those scary fishes.. *shudders*. I mean, thats sad if thats all Universal can think of on their own.
- The brides mouths just got frikin weird at some points.. they were still pretty cool, but they relied on that too much.. although that tounge would make for some pretty interesting sex, ;P
- The vampire's kids were freaky deaky... I mean, honestly, If I knew my kids were gonna look like that and have the intelligence of my right toe, I probably wouldn't have any.
- You knew the big monster battle at the end was coming, but atleast they handled it pretty well.
- Okay, since when did Anna become Tarzan? I mean, im sorry, but thats too lucky for me, being able to suddenly vine swing.
- I also loved how everytime in that movie the angles worked out perfectly. Peh...
- Umm, in the final battle, that was waaaay more than the time it takes the clock to strike twelve. Thats about thirty seconds.. didn't like that, but I'm over critical.
- Im going to see faces in the clouds now, thanks, lol.

Okay, now some random goody bits, and random bits.. (everything else)
- The werewolf appearing over the flaming carrigae.. awesome. Great CGI, and just a great moment.
- All that great info about werewolves was nice.. I have to add that all to my mental database, like the thing about sheding.
- Hugh as a werewolf is soo hott just in my mind that that is becoming a fiction or something. Oh yes, oh yes *plots*
- The vampires walking on the celing was cool, but it allowed for some of the worst CGI (him leaping down and all that..) it was cool though.
- There were alot of Full Moons in that movie.. I mean, I know theres a blue moon, but they were on like, purple.
- When the sun bomb went off, which, btw, was frikin awesome, the bodies flying out the window reminded me of "ballad of fallen angels" lol.. Im such a nerd.
- Once again, the sun bomb was frikin awesome.
- All the werewolves stuff in this was great, especially the really large role they played.. I love love loved it.
- I absolutely loved the one charachter, Carl, the "friar".. OMG, he was so funny, lol!! I dunno, I just loved him, and David Wenham did a great job.. he wasn't that bad looking anyways, in the sidekick, secret lover, kinda way, lol
- Hugh all wet is sexy.
- The werewolf transformations were awesome, I really like the style they used. The skin ripping was just cool, it really coveys the emotions...
- I really liked the horses, and all their headgear.. it was neat, plus I got to say "ee pony"
- The image of the map with the path in blood was neato, even if it only lasted for about three seconds...
- The brother, Will Kemp, was hot to begin with, but then when they made him a werewolf OMG... ahhhhh, that was sexay sexay sexay... I liked him, if you haven't noticed.
- I like the little carriage scene, with the two carriages.. it just looked neat.
- Hugh's naughty bits!!!! Noooooo, save them!!!
- The flaming carriage looked neat against the drab background, plus it sets you up for all kinds of lame jokes.
- Hugh in that gentelman costume and all wet is sexy. again, and even more so... <3
- I like how he really showed that he was becoming a werewolf, with his temper and all that.. it was cool.
- The moving picture thing was well done (mostly) in my opinion.
- I dunno why, but I liked the mirror map thing, even though I figured it out the first time...
- Hugh's hair looked great. I mean, great. And I love that hat!
- The sets were wonderful.
- When Hugh used his werewolfyness to jump I loved those noises. Those were sex nosies (werewolf sex mind you) if I ever heard them.
- All that new werewolf info was really acurate. *is impressed*
- The big fire tub things everywhere in Castle Dracula were neato.
- That kiss was great... I loved it. "Don't be late"
- Finally, everyone agrees, werewolves have a purpose for good, and are damn sexay.
- I liked the whole "Gods left arm/hand" thing... twas neat.
- Course, do we really want to think of god touching us that way, lol!!
- The 2nd awakening of Dracuala's children was cool, with the millions of kids and the matrixy power source... dunno, I liked it, and I liked them spewing out of the wondows.
- The "vampire vision" was awesome, where she could see her blood... I liked it alot.
- Hugh was incredibly geourgoeus as a werewolf.. just.. ahhhh
- That loincloth thing was great.
- The very last leap thing in the battle, where he bends down and comes back up werewolf was awesome, as was the death of Dracula, with all the disenigration, I liked it personally.
- MY DEAR GOD... that last moment as a werewolf was soo... im gonna cry now. Reminded me of something else, lol..... *tear tear*
- I liked when he burned/cremated her... it looked really cool, and was really final and junk.
- Excellent ending.. riding off, and not afraid to kill a main charry. Loved it.
- Music at the end was awesome. Loved it too.
- The credits were neat.. very "Nightmare Before Christmas" if you ask me. Loved them too.
- Okay, did no one else notice when Van Helsing the werewolf sharpened his claws on the wall? Such a wolverine moment, I swear, I was gonna die laughing. Die.

Last (I promise) but not least, a few (probably slightly off, please don't kill me) quotes:

"I have never been to the sea..." [that was the most random line ever.. I though she was going to start reciting poetry.. soo soo random, and then you cut to the scene of Dracula randomly dancing, for almost no reason at all.. so funny]

"Im not actually a monk, I'm a friar... damnit" [ I love that guy, and the two instances where that is actually used.. the cussing and the sex.. funny funny funny.. I love Carl]

"Your a genius" "I'm a genius with acses to unstable chemicals!" [LMFAO, once again, I love Carl, and Carl and Gabriel (Van Helsing) together.. great name btw]{I mean, at first, I though that scene witht the monks was really weird, but it works}

"I'll clip off something" [when dealing with Igor and he told her to clip off a finger.. that was great]

"Don't be late" [Realistic and sweet, and the front runner to the kiss... aww]

"I'm not going to be the first one to stick my hand into vicarious(?) material.... see, what did I tell you, vicarious material!!" [Just his manner, I <3ed it]

"Some things are better left forgotten" [Just so classic... loves it, and loves Hugh]

Ran into Amy at chilis afterwards.. kinda creepy, considering it was the out of the way chilis, and we had both just seen the same movie at the same theater..
And finnaly, a shout out to Ms. Shelly, who saw it with me and my mum... when we were walking out afterwards and it was time to go eat, and we were deciding where, she asked my mum "Is there anything you want to eat besides Hugh Jackman?" She clearly wins at life. I <3 her.
